In Corazón Animal (Animal Heart), we wanted to bring the Colombian Sinú River and its surroundings to life with lots of greenery and vibrant colors, paying special attention to the region’s native flora and fauna. On the other hand, we designed the city with rich textures, grain, and cool tones leaning towards purples, making the setting itself feel like an antagonist in the series.
For the character designs, we took inspiration from a mix of Cartoon and Manga Furries. From Cartoon, we incorporated exaggerated, caricature-like facial expressions that are super effective in conveying emotions. From Manga Furries, we used structured techniques to transform humans into anthropomorphic animals, which also helps us give them dynamic and expressive poses.
